It was great to spend the weekend with the family – Sarah and I really enjoyed knitting together. I was able to finish the basket in a Moroccan Tile stitch – it has a very 70s macrame vibe, and I used this beautiful wool yarn, from a small farm in Michigan. I purchased it several years ago at a yarn con in Chicago, so I accomplished a bit of stash busting as well.

This Bucks Hat is still in progress – I haven’t gotten the hang of the pattern yet. I’m using up some of my acrylic yarn – more stash-busting.

I figured out the box stitch (crochet) and really liked how it looked so I started a scarf for a present. This is rowan soft yak yarn. It’s very soft but has a beautiful drape. think it will be a good match.
