Sarah’s Weekly WIP update

So it’s been a few weeks. I have been knitting whenever I can. And I have a finished object! (Or objects). I finished a pair of socks for my dad today. They are the first pair he has gotten from me. Trying to get his measurements correct from 200 miles away was an interesting process. First I sicced mom on him with her tape measure. Then I made Morgan who has larger feet try them on every once in awhile to make sure I was on the right path. They are done and cast off and I’m still hoping they’ll fit him. If not, they’re getting donated because I can’t bring myself to rip out 7 inches of knitting to fix them.

Other than that I’ve been busy busy busy! Work obviously but also some exciting news. My “bachelorette party” was this last weekend. That is in quotes because it wasn’t very traditional. I invited a few friends and my mom and my best friend’s mom. We had an absolute blast. We even started off the day knitting in my patio, which pleased me immensely.

Since apparently I can’t knit while hungover, I spent a very nice day stalking patterns on ravelry. My handle is sebower if you want to friend me and check out what I’ve been looking at. I have a ton of really good ideas and I’m super inspired right now. I bought a adorable cloche pattern and cast that on. I have a few more hats, shawls and sock patterns that my fingers are itching to cast on.

FleeceMy other exciting news is that I received 2 very awesome packages in the mail. 1) My wedding dress which is PERFECT and fits and is cute and has pockets and 2) more importantly (not even kidding) my fleece arrived!!!! I am so freaking excited that I can’t even go into my apartment without touching it. I’ve promised myself to read my spinning book, watch the DVD and possibly take a craftsy class before I start spinning it. But it’s soft and beautiful and I am so happy that I purchased it. This week was better than Christmas.
